About Sies

SIES The South Indian Education Society (SIES) was pioneered in 1932. What started with a strength of six students has now become a conglomerate of various institutions with over 18,000 students under its wing. SIES has established a high school, an array of arts, science and commerce colleges, along with academic and professional institutions of higher learning. The single minded objective to impart Knowledge that meets the increasing need of common man at all levels has driven SIES through the past 80 years. South Indian Education Society has constantly endeavoured to give back to society by making significant contributions to the upliftment of society through its mutli-prolonged initiatives in cultural, social and educational fields.

About IETE

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. Founded in 1953, IETE is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT Professionals. It serves more than 1,25,000 members through various centres spread all over India and abroad.
The IETE Students' Forum (ISF) is a technical organization at SIES Graduate School of Technology, Nerul. It was established in March 2008. It plays an active role in organizing extra-curricular events in the college, working on the above mentioned goal and inculcating the genes of innovation into the mindset of students by bringing in different genres of events on an accessible platform. ISF’s motto is to encourage team work and the spirit of inquisitiveness among the student members.
We have been actively involved in many events. “MINDSPARK” is a new and innovative event that has been launched under the IETE banner. The first version was held on 16 th September, 2015 and the second version was held on 23 rd September, 2016. A workshop on “Android Game Development without Programming” was organized on 20 th March, 2016. The workshop received a fervent response. The resource person invited was Mr. Mahesh Rakheja, a Techniche Public Speaker.
Another workshop was held by Mr. Mahesh Rakheja on “Ethical Hacking” on 20 th and 21 st August, 2016. This workshop proved to be an enormous success. TECHXTER is the flagship event held by the IETE Students’ Forum of SIES Graduate School of Technology. After 5 previous successes, “TECHXTER 6.0” marks the 6 th consecutive year of Techxter. It’ll be held in the academic year 2016-17.
